In 2009, I began working through servicejunkie in Bristol and have been engaged in consulting work across the private, public and social sectors.
Working independently has allowed me to participate in some diverse projects, and my work has mainly (but not exclusively) focused on facilitating design-led activities at the front end of the design process, working as part of a project team, where everyone is equally valued for their knowledge and creativity. This participatory approach has meant learning and applying new skills and approaches, because my role is mainly to facilitate the design process for others.
Formerly an industrial designer and project manager, I have worked in some of the World’s most well-respected industrial design firms, such as IDEO | Fitch | Seymour Powell | tangerine and hollington, consulting on product and interaction design projects for AT&T | BT | Cable and Wireless Communications | Kodak and Sony Ericsson.
My current focus | is to use my knowledge, skills and design tools to help others to design people-centred services that better meet customer needs.
I offer | Service Design thinking | design research | design strategy | workshop planning & facilitation | co-design & prototyping | Industrial Design.
My Design Education | I hold a Masters Degree in Design Strategy and Innovation from Brunel University (2002), with a BA Honours degree in Industrial Design from Central Saint Martins, London (1988)
